Hope Lodge offers free overnight lodging and support for cancer patients receiving treatment. The Gathering sends a team the 2nd Tuesday of the month to serve a meal to the residents and their families.
Did you know more than 20,000 Muslims live in the metro area, and that 100+ languages are spoken in the Kansas City metro area? This ministry focuses on empowering ordinary Christians to plant churches among unreached people groups in Kansas City.

Resource Health (previously Rachel House) exists to offer compassionate care to men and women experiencing an unplanned pregnancy. Our focus is to holistically empower the family unit through advocacy, education, mentoring and discipleship. Our goal is to positively impact families now and for generations to come.
Second Mile Ministries is committed to serving the homeless in Kansas City. Also, through Milestone Youth Center, they work to strengthen urban youth in every aspect of their lives. Among other things, The Gathering comes alongside Second Mile in providing a hot meal and warm clothing to the homeless around Thanksgiving.
A variety of fresh food/grocery items are distributed monthly through a drive-thru food pantry. The Gathering serves our community in this manner the first Monday of each month.
The mission of CSL is to assist communities in reaching their potential by providing immediate relief to people in need, assessing their situations, and providing solutions that lead to economic stability.
For 30 years Hillcrest has helped families get back on their feet. The ministry of Hillcrest Transitional Housing is about helping families get from homelessness to self-sufficiency.
The Plaza campus serves and supports their neighborhood school through the Good News Club, a ministry of Child Evangelism Fellowship. The purpose of the Good News Club is to evangelize boys and girls with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Members meet on the Noland campus, the 3rd Tuesday of the month, to lovingly sew, quilt, crochet, and knit blankets for those in need of comfort.
Volunteers are trained to assist with the after effects of local flooding and other disasters.

Meals on Wheels drivers deliver meals to local homebound families in Independence and Sugar Creek. Meals are delivered weekly, 10:00am to 12:15pm. The Meals on Wheels office is in the Trinity Episcopal Church building on Independence Square.
Formerly Restoration House of Greater Kansas City, REHOPE is a faith-based recovery program, providing housing, treatment, and lifelong sustainment services for women and children victims of human trafficking.
The vision of the Baptist Home is, “Making Christlike ministry the standard of care for the aging. The Gathering supports the Independence Baptist Home through fellowship during their Bible studies and special events; we are also in the process of beautifying their garden and grounds.
Our cancer care team stays in touch with and prays for those fighting the cancer battle.
There are a variety of ways we can serve our local school district. Among them are: Project Shine, Inspire Friends, Reviving Hope (cancer house), doing projects on the school grounds, etc.
Serving through the International Mission Board, Logan and Carla continue to learn the Icelandic language.

Rift Valley Academy is a Christian boarding school in central Kenya, enabling families to serve across the African continent.
Through the Baptist Seminary of Rio Grande do Sul, Brandon is teaching the next generation of church leaders and pastors. Marci works alongside Brandon toward launching the Kairos Project, and continues to homeschool their three children.
Covid-19 did not prevent millions of Shoeboxes from reaching children all over the world. Over 9 million were packed, collected, and processed. More than 1 million students made decisions for Christ. As one leader said, “God used this year to strengthen his church and lay a strong foundation for future ministry. Although we were apart, we were more unified than ever.”

Through Project H.O.P.E people serve in Nicaragua and Haiti each year building homes, conducting medical clinics, training pastors, serving the poor, and ultimately sharing the Gospel and love of Jesus Christ.
Loyd serves with Won by One to Jamaica. Their mission is to show the love of Jesus Christ by providing opportunities through education, empowerment, discipleship and economic development for Jamaican and American lives to be transformed.
Since 2003, His Voice Global has been partnering with communities and their leaders to raise up vulnerable women and children to see relationships restored and communities renewed. Partnerships are in Kenya, South Sudan, and Uganda.
Austin serves with Youth With A Mission in Northern Ireland. YWAM is a global movement of Christians from many cultures, age groups and Christian traditions, dedicated to serving Jesus throughout the world.
The mission of Gospelink is to connect the church globally for the purpose of gospel ministry. We diligently seek out national Christian leaders who are actively involved in local church ministry; we then locate churches and individuals who would like to work alongside them. We want to leverage the potential of the global church by providing the link between the national leader and their ministry partners.
God has always used the church to carry out his mission in the world, and the Bible is foundational to that mission.
